Debashree Mukharjee, Subhajit Makhal: They crossed the border a book launched at Birla Planetarium on 13 December, 2022. The authors of the book are Sreyasi Gan and Gautam Gan. The narrator narrates the story of an old zamindar family belonging to East Pakistan where the members of the group had to migrate to Kolkata facing great adversities to reestablish themselves on the new soil.
Slowly they spread their wings across the globe and during this period they came in touch with an array of other characters professionally and by virtue of martial relationships. The story thus speaks of two different types of migrations both physical and psychlogical journey with a series of episodes narrating colourful real life stories that paint the pathway of the readers.
