New Delhi: Sanjana Sanghi, who made her Bollywood debut with ‘Dil Bechara’ opposite Sushant Singh Rajput, expressed her excitement after megastar Amitabh Bachchan mentioned her name on his show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 12’. We had earlier informed you that Big B asked a contestant Aarti Jagtap about the leading lady of ‘Dil Bechara’. Aarti, who smiled after hearing the audio clip, managed to answer the question correctly.
Sanjana, who is on cloud nine, shared the video from the show on Instagram along with a heartfelt note. She went down the memory lane and recalled how she watched ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ every weekday along with her family members. The newbie actress said that she grew up watching ‘KBC’ and would imagine herself as a contestant on the hot seat.
“TALA LAGA DIYA JAYE! My entire childhood, every single weekday night was dedicated to family viewing of our indomitable legend @amitabhbachchan in Kaun Banega Crorepati. The unrealistic dreamer in me had gone far enough to imagine myself being in the hot seat, trying to be my nerdy best and answer the General Knowledge questions. But to be kicking off a new KBC season with this question? #KaunBanegaCrorepati #DreamOn,” Sanjana wrote on Instagram.
Late Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi’s ‘Dil Bechara’ premiered directly on Disney+ Hotstar on July 24. The romantic drama received an amazing response from the audience. According to a BARC report, the movie topped the OTT viewership when it comes to watching a film on a smartphone in the first week of release.
‘Dil Bechara’, which is the Hindi adaptation of John Green’s novel ‘The Fault In Our Stars’, has been directed by Mukesh Chhabra. Gossip mills are buzzing with the rumours that the flick will hit the silver screens after cinema halls re-open from October 15. Sushant’s fans are quite excited to see his last film on the big screen. The makers are yet to issue an official statement.
Talking about ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 12’, the quiz-based show went on air from September 28 on Sony TV. Unlike the last season, ‘KBC 12’ opened with average ratings in the first week.
